PixPuzz (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the PixPuzz mobile application or website (together, the “Service”).
We encourage you to read this policy to understand the measures we take to keep your data safe while using PixPuzz.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We recommend checking it periodically for changes.
By using PixPuzz, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
a) Player (User) Information
When using PixPuzz, we collect the following information:
Required
- Unique user identifier (Firebase ID)
- Username (either auto-generated or user-provided)
Optional (provided voluntarily)
- First name
- Last name
- Email address (when signing in via Apple or Google)
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Country
- City
- Phone number
Additional personal data is provided voluntarily and is not required to use the core features of the application.
When you first launch PixPuzz, an anonymous account is automatically created using Firebase Authentication.
You may choose to register fully via Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In to personalize your experience.
b) Website Analytics
When you visit the PixPuzz website, we record first-party page-view and App Store click events to measure whether the website helps visitors reach the App Store.
A website event may contain:
- A randomly generated browser-session identifier
- The page path and selected language
- The position of the App Store link or QR code that was used
- A broad device class: mobile, tablet, or desktop
- The approximate country and city derived by our hosting provider from the network request
- The referring website hostname and UTM source, medium, and campaign labels, when present
- The event type and timestamp
The session identifier and first-touch traffic attribution are stored in sessionStorage and end when the browser tab session ends. The first-party conversion table stores only the approximate country code and city supplied by our hosting provider, the referring hostname, and limited UTM labels. It does not store your name, email address, IP address, precise coordinates, full referring URL, search terms, exact device fingerprint, or user-agent string, and it is not used for cross-site advertising.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Operate and improve the PixPuzz application
- Save gameplay records and manage in-app progression
- Measure website usage and App Store link performance
- Send important notifications (e.g., service updates, account status, legal notices)
- Initialize the Google Mobile Ads SDK and request ad content in app builds where that SDK remains included, even though PixPuzz does not currently offer a user-facing advertising flow
- Ensure security, prevent fraud, and create a safe environment for users
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We may share limited data with:
- Trusted service providers (e.g., Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, AppCheck) to support and secure app functionality
- Google Mobile Ads, while its SDK remains included in an app build, which may process technical device, advertising, and diagnostic data under Google’s policies
- Website hosting and security providers, which necessarily process network request data such as IP addresses and user-agent strings to deliver and protect the website
- Government authorities or by legal request, when required by law
PixPuzz uses the Unsplash API for in-game images. All images are used in accordance with Unsplash’s terms and policies.
4. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access your stored personal data
- Update or correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time via the app settings
- Withdraw consent for data processing (where applicable)
Please note:
- Account deletion is immediate and cannot be undone
- Game progress, earned rewards, and offers will be lost upon deletion
- In rare cases, technical issues or errors may result in data loss, despite our efforts to prevent it
5. Deletion of Inactive Accounts
PixPuzz may periodically delete anonymous accounts deemed inactive.
An account is considered inactive if:
- It contains no registration data
- There has been no gameplay or activity for a reasonable period
6. International Data Transfers
All personal data collected or stored by us may be held in various locations worldwide, including the United States and the European Union.
Please be aware that privacy laws vary by jurisdiction. The laws applicable in locations where your data is processed may differ from those in your country of residence and may offer different levels of data protection.
If you are located in the European Union or other regions with data protection laws, by providing your personal data, you consent to its processing in the aforementioned locations.
7. Data Retention
Personal data is retained as long as your account remains active.
Deleted accounts and inactive anonymous accounts are permanently erased within 30 days, unless otherwise required by law.
Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytical purposes.
Raw first-party website conversion events are subject to a 400-day retention window and are deleted when the analytics store next processes a new event. Aggregate reports that do not contain browser-session identifiers may be retained longer.
8. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards. We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, considering the risks involved and the nature of the data.
However, no method of data transmission over the Internet is entirely secure. By using PixPuzz, you acknowledge and accept these potential risks.
9. Children’s Privacy
PixPuzz is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We understand the importance of protecting children’s privacy and security online, in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe we have collected your child’s data without consent, please contact us to request deletion. If such data is discovered, it will be promptly removed.
We strongly encourage minors aged 13–16 to obtain parental or guardian consent before using PixPuzz or providing any personal information.
10. Future Changes and Monetization
PixPuzz gameplay will remain free.
This Privacy Policy may be updated in the future.
Before a new advertising provider begins processing user data, we will update this Privacy Policy to identify the relevant provider and data practices.
Significant changes will be communicated via email and/or through the application.
By continuing to use PixPuzz after such changes are published, you agree to the updated Privacy Policy.
